October 25 - Day Hike at Little River Park on Guess Road

(Estimated Cost: $0 but you have to bring lunch)
9:30am - Meet at Morris house (7001 New Sharon Church Road, Rougemont, NC)
10:00am - Hike to Little River Park with Back Packs and food for lunch
12:00pm - Lunch on the trail
1:00-2:00pm - Hike back to Morris house
3:00pm -  Pick up Scouts

November 21 - 23 Uwharrie Hiking Trip

(Estimated Cost: $50)

FRIDAY

Meet at OUMC Depart at 4:00 - Snack in route
Arrive at 6:30  at Trail Beginning which is at southern end where there is trailhead parking on NC Highway 24/27, 10 miles west of Troy
Depart parking lot at 7:00
Hike for 30 minutes to we encounter water - less than a mile.
7:30 Set up camp, 8:30 cook dinner
10:00 lights out.

SATURDAY

A leisurely hike at 3 mph will cover the 5.5 miles in less than two hours.
7:00 breakfast
8:00 break camp [this will take time because of repacking]
9:00 hike (6-7 miles on the day with lunch on the trail)

at the Latest 4 PM- Set up camp. 
Pump water
Eat dinner
Mess around - campfire skits and storytelling
10 lights out

SUNDAY

A leisurely hike at 3 to cover the 5 miles is less than two hours
7:00 breakfast
7:30 pump water [last chance for water for the remainder of the trip]
8:00 break camp [this will take time because of repacking]
9:00 hike 3-4 miles
12 snack lunch
12:30 hike - Let the kids know that McDonalds awaits them upon completion of the trip.
Hit the cars around 1-2

December 6-7 Scout Hut Lock-In 

(Estimated Cost: $10 plus cost of Rock Climbing)
A weekend camping trip…indoors! This is the annual T-9 lock-in at OUMC hut with heat and indoor amenities!!

Saturday 

7:30am: Meet at OUMC Hut & Drop Gear
9:30am - 1pm: Lunch & Community Service Project
1:15pm: Depart for Rock Climbing
2-4pm: Rock Climbing  ***Consent Required***5-6:30pm: Dinner at the OUMC Hut & clean up
7:00pm: Movie & Popcorn

Sunday

7-8:45am: Breakfast & breakdown hut
9:00am: Attend OUMC Sunday service   ***Class A Uniforms Required for Church Services**10:15am: Scout pick up
